Well, I just received the boots, and I am happy to say that I am rather pleased. Very fine leather, well stitched, and a rather lovely fit. It is almost jarring to adjust to these, when going from steel, but I am very glad to make the change. I'd buy these, again, in another 4 years, if I need a replacement, in a heart's beat.
