Q: i am a size 38/40 waist, can someone help me with the size i should order? the current grommet belt i have measures 49\" from the tip of the belt to buckle

I am in between a 38 and 40 jeans and the XXL works great for me. Depending on how tight I put the belt I have 3-4 sets of grommets extra at the end.
