These boots will last you years of daily use as long as you perform some basic upkeep. First off invest in insoles for comfort. They're pretty flat on the inside..... During breaking in you'll want to duct tape the ankle of your socks to keep welts from forming from the stiff leather rubbing against them. I had my first pair for about 5 years and replaced the zipper In both feet and used some shoe glue to reattach a buckle twice but you couldn't even tell repairs had been done Still less expensive than a new pair. The soles never wore down completely or pulled away from the leather which is the typical problem I've had with boots. I finally gave in and bought a new pair when the ankle cracked and formed a hole. Apparently a shoe repair person can reinforce the inside ankle to prevent this from happening so I might invest to keep these suckers rocking even longer.

Ya know, the first couple of days I wore these I wasn't sure I could stand them. The left boot rubbed the heck out of one of my achellis tendon, but it just up and stopped before it dawned on me to duct tape the inside of it. Now I wear them all the time and their really comfy. Guess sometimes a nice pair of boots is like breaking a wild mustang made out of buckles and gaining it's trust or something. :/
