Due to recent COVID restrictions in the state of California most all of our footwear is currently experiencing delays in shipping. This only effects our footwear at this time. California has implement a 20% capacity restriction on most all businesses in California; meaning we have had to reduce our on site warehouse staff by 80% in California. This shelter in place order is due to last for three weeks. Currently ground shipping on most boots and shoes are currently being delayed by 3-5 business days.
As COVID-19 continues to spread and effect daily life within the United States, I would like to let all of our valued customers know what Rivithead is doing in response to this global threat.
Our top priority is the well being and safety of our employees, customers, vendors, families and our local communities. We are continuing to monitor and adjust to daily changes during this outbreak.
Rivithead is adhering to all recommendations from the World Health Organization, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and our local authorities. We are also implementing our own procedures above and beyond what is recommended to keep you and us safe from this threat.
We have implemented a work from home policy for most all of our employees with the exception of a very limited number of warehouse employees, insuring our warehousing operations continue to run as normal as possible during this time. This should not have any effect on our customer service or handling of orders.
We have setup a separate small quarantine building for all incoming packages. Return and exchange items will be processed through our quarantine but will not effect the speed of which we normally process exchanges and returns. All returns will be logged, inspected and then quarantined for at least 7 days. This will not cause a delay on refunds or exchanges. Restock items will follow the same procedure. The purpose of this quarantine is to keep our warehouse employees safe and not have potential tainted items enter or inventory.
We have imposed a strict hand washing policy for all warehouse workers and encourage our work from home employees to follow the same guidelines. The best defense against this virus right now is cleanliness. We have asked and are enforcing hourly hand washing of any employee who comes in contact with any person or package, incoming or outgoing. We are continually disinfecting high traffic work spaces and frequently touched objects.
As we work though the ever changing new landscape of COVID-19 we wish you and your family the best. The one thing we must all remember is that we will make it though this tough time. Keep safe and keep washing those hands.
